GripHaus is a company which produces new and innovative camera support equipment for the Film and Television Industry. We are based in London in the United Kingdom, born from simple ideas and creative thinking, developing bespoke equipment since 2010.

 

Our style is to keep things simple yet versatile, practical yet engaging, reliable whilst still pushing forward with innovation and always addressing the needs of both Grips and Operators alike.

B A C K G R O U N D

As a collective of engineers based in the United Kingdom.  We have a diverse range of experience, from the design and manufacture of intricate tooling of plastic injection moulds, the design of large scale commercial and industrial refrigeration to advanced digital design and development, automating and simulating some of most complex construction methods used today. 

E X P E R I E N C E

Having worked in the engineering industry for some 35 years and in the Film and Television Industry for over a decade, we have developed systems that needed to deal with constant day-to-day use in both industry and on a film set, similarly designing systems to cope with extended trips to some of the most remote and harshest environments on the planet. From the Arctic to the Antarctic and all manner of jungle and alpine environments in between.

 

This experience forms the foundation to us knowing the absolute core fundamental requirements of any equipment that needs to operate and function flawlessly no matter the conditions.

T I M E 

The idea of Griphaus was established many years before its inception, decades of experience honing a very specific skill set. It is our belief that producing quality products is determined by the time invested in their creation, the skills and technology used in their development and the materials and processes used in their construction. Time forms the very foundation to our belief  and has therefore been naturally imprinted into all our creations.
